I am an Honors Faculty Fellow at Barrett Honors College. I am an immigration historian and hold a Ph.D. in History from the University of Maine, an M.A. in History from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.A. (summa cum laude) in History and Fine Art from Felician College. In addition, I hold a C.A.S. degree in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Maine.
I primarily research immigration and refugee history from World War II to the present. My other major research interest is technology and the liberal arts.
I recently published an article titled “‘Inviting Coworkers’: Linking Scholars of Atlantic Canada on the Twitter Backchannel” (with Robert Gee) in Acadiensis. I blog at stillwaterhistorians.com and I was selected as a Digital Humanities Award Winner for one of mycurated projects last year.
Before joining ASU, I taught in the Honors College and History Department at the University of Maine.
